How do I book an appointment for a tattoo?

There are a few different ways to book your appointment; we have a comprehensive form on our website where you can fill in all pertinent information and an artist will contact you within 48 hours. This is great because we get the most amount of information from you and the artist can come into your appointment prepared. You’re also welcome to come into the shop to see if an artist has availability that day or to consult for a future appointment!

Walk-ins are still welcomed; however, due to social distancing we have further implemented at the shop, they are based on an artist’s availability, so making an appointment is highly encouraged!

Do I need to book an appointment for a piercing?

While appointments are recommended and prioritized, they are not required. We always have between 3-7 piercers on a shift and can also accommodate walk-ins. If you go to the “Jewelry” tab on the Home Page and choose “Shop Our Jewelry,” you will be connected to our Shopify website. From here, choose “Piercing Appointments.”

Here, please select the piercing of your choice and make sure you choose both a piercer as well as a date and time for your appointment. Make sure you scroll to the date you want to get pierced as the first appointment available does not automatically appear! If you don’t choose any of these factors, you run the risk of being double booked. If you have trouble making an appointment online, please give us a call so we can help you out!

Do I need to put down a deposit for a tattoo?

When making an appointment for a piece, a deposit is taken. The deposit pays for the artist’s time when drawing the one-of-a-kind design and to ensure that the client will adhere to the agreed appointment time.  The deposit is applied toward the final cost of the tattoo and is nonrefundable.  Appointments can be modified with 24-48 hour notice.

What is the minimum cost for a tattoo?

We have an $100 minimum for tattoos.  We include a one year guarantee on our tattoos; if it doesn’t heal perfectly, we will touch it up for free.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

In the state of California, one must be at least 18 years of age to get a tattoo.  We do not make any exceptions to this rule as it is illegal.  Please being photo identification with you when getting tattooed.  If you don’t agree, feel free to write a letter to Jerry Brown.

How old do I have to be to get a piercing?

Minors accompanied by their parent or guardian may get a piercing.  However, to receive a genital or nipple piercing, one must be 18 years of age or older.  Again, anyone under 18 is illegal and photo identification must be provided.

Does it cost to talk to a tattoo artist or piercer?

Our tattoo artists and piercers are more than happy to spend time chatting for free whether it be by phone or in-person at the shop.  You will only be charged when you commit to an appointment or procedure.

What steps are taken to ensure a safe piercing or tattoo?

Aseptic technique is used in every procedure.  Every needle is sterilized, used once and then disposed through a biohazard disposal company.  We wear latex and nitrile gloves that are appropriately changed to avoid cross contamination.

Every tattoo artist and piercer has successfully completed a course in Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control Management for the Body Art Practitioner.  This training complies with the L.A. County Body Art Program for Bloodborne Pathogens and the current OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standard and guideline for regulation 29 OFR 1910.1030.

What do I need to do to prepare for my tattoo or piercing?

Before getting one’s body art, we suggest that one comes in well rested, sober and in good health, preferably after eating a nutritious meal.  If there are any health concerns, please ask us.  If we cannot answer your questions, we will direct you to your healthcare provider.
